Default Questions about Pachislo Thunderbirds. Please help.

    Hello everyone,

I'am new to Pachislo. I have never had before a Pachislo Slot machine. So i have some questions and hope someone can and will help me.

1: Well, I notice that the key of the door can turned to the right AND the left. When i turn it to the right the door of the Pachislo will open. When i turn the key to the left, nothing happen. On the inside of the door i see some kind of sensor. With an 'eye' on both sides. Once I turn the key to the left, the eye interrupted by a metal portion/slide of the door mechanism (like a shop doorbell, 2 eyes shine to each other, with interruption does something) It is linked tot Channel4. Can anyone tell me where this feature is for? (see photo 1)

2: Also i do not understand the Powerunit/Computer. There are some buttons on it, and i don't know where they for. Also searched on this forum, but can't find it.
Where is the push-button for on the Powerunit/Computer, under the reset key and above the first slider button? (in between so) (see photo 2)
3: Also i don't know where the 2 slider buttons are for? (i have read something in the help center of this website, but no complete answer is in it)

I Hope someone can help me.
    Thank you very much.

(Sorry for my bad English, i'am from The Netherlands)

    Greetings, Ben Waggeveld

    Welcome to Pachitalk Ben!

Turning the outside key to the left is for a soft reset on the machine. Usually necessary after a Big Bonus Round.

I am going to look at your pictures a little more to see if I can help with the other questions. If not I am sure someone will be along shortly who can help more.

I believe the button under the key is also a reset but I may be wrong on that one. I know on one of my machines the sliders did two different things.

    1. Changed the machine from automatic payout to being able to store up to 50 credits before paying out.

    2. I cannot remember what the second one did at the moment as I have since sold that machine.

I am sure someone who can translate the characters will be along soon and can shed some more light on it.

Can you post a picture of the front of the machine as well?

Thanks for your help so far.
I talk about the outside key, on the front of the door. Not the inside key on de Powersupply, i know that one is for reset
But you say i can reset the machine with the front panel key? (when i try, nothing happen)

And i'am very happy you help me!
I will add a photo of the front of the machine!

Thanks for all the help! Hope someone else can help me with the characters, etc.

Glad to help anyway I can. You found the greatest group of people on the web I have ever run across. Enjoy the new machine. Be careful though. As many members will tell you, they tend to multiply very quickly.

(Earlier i do reply on above answer, but i do not see it on here, so i do it over!)

We talk both about the outside key? Because i know the INSIDE key on the Powersupply/Computer is for resetting.
But the OUTSIDE key is also for resetting when i turn it to the left? (when i try now, nothing happen...)

And i will add a picture in this post with the front of the machine on it.IMAG0048.jpg

And answers are still welcome! About the keys and buttons on the Powersupply/computer. And about the key on the front.
    Thanks

Turning the front door key to the left is for a soft reset of the machine. If the machine doesn't need reset, turning the key to the left will do nothing. In other words, if the machine is not displaying some type of error code, turning the door key to the left has no effect on the machine. The other reason you would have to turn the door key to the left, is to reset the machine after winning a big bonus round.

That leads to the two slider switches on the power supply. One is for having to reset the machine after winning a big bonus and the other is to empty all credits, on the credit meter, after winning a big bonus. I noticed that both your switches are down, that is the off position, your machine will not need to be reset after winning and all your credits will remain on the credit meter.

The push button is maybe for changing your odds.

@ Wayne-Ooo Very much thanks for your reaction! But what are Odds? Also i do still not understand the function of the 2 slider buttons. When one of these are in the ON position, the machine resets itself? The outside key i have turned to the left today, the Hopper was empty, and ik had an error on the big LCD screen. The machine erased the error!!! Can you tell me more about Pachislo , and i mean the technical things. I'am totally new to these machine.

@ Card Shark Yes, you helped me a lot, but hope that Wayne-Ooo can help me a little more with the technical features also.

@ MrGneiss hehe thanks for the help

Odds are a factory payout setting, set by the manufacture of the machine. The odds can be set 1-6.

On your Thunderbirds machine, setting (1) the probability of a big bonus or a regular bonus is every 1/339.8 (95.7%) and on setting (6) every 1/203.4 (119.9%). Setting (2)-98.2%, (3)-98.6, (4)-102.3% and (5)-110.1%.

    How to set your odds?

Setting the odds requires a Full Reset of the machine.
    Here are the steps:
A.) With the machine turned off, turn the reset key to the right. (This is the key that is in your power supply.)
B.) Turn the machine on. (The machine stays on from this point.)
C.) Now a number (1-6) will appear in your credit or payout window on the front of your machine. On some machine the number will display on a led screen on the inside of the door. Now push the odds changing button to what odds number you want. The odds push button is normally on the power supply or on the inside of the front door. (I think yours is on the power supply.)
D.)Now, once you have decided what odds percentage number you want, hold down on the spin lever. Normally the number you choose will disappear from the window. (Some machines do this and some don't).
E.) Now turn your reset key to the left. (You should hear a "click sound" from your coin mechanism when turning the reset key, if not your machine did not reset and your odds were not changed.)

That's it, add tokens and your machine is ready play.

As far as those two switches on your power supply.
When the switches are set to the "OFF" position, (down). After winning a Big Bonus round you will keep all the credits earned, and you can keep playing without doing any resets.
When the switches are "ON", (up). You will be payed, in tokens, the number of credits you earned and the game will end. Most likely an alarm will sound.

This is where the door key comes into play. You must do a "Soft Reset" of the machine. Put the door key in and turn it to the left, this resets the machine. Add tokens and you are ready to play. Other soft resets can be done if an error code is displayed. Lets say your hopper ran out of tokens during a big bonus round. An error code would be displayed in one of the windows and most likely an alarm would sound. All you need to do is open the machine and add tokens to the hopper, close the door and turn the door key to the left and the machine resets. It reset without losing any credits or any game play, the machine starts where it left off.

This soft reset works for several minor problems that might occur during playing. Such as hopper problems, token jams, etc..
Let's face it, you may play for a while before hitting a big bonus and if a problem occurs during it, you don't want to have to do a full reset of the machine and loose out on that jackpot you just won.

    @ Wayne-Ooo

    Hi Wayne,

Thank you for your reaction! This is very useful for me! I'am so glad that people here help me!
I'am very proud of my Pachislo. These machines are great!
I'am going to try to set the Pachislo on another payout setting

-The thing i don't understand: my switches on the power supply going from left to right, not up to down (according to what you say) What is te OFF position you think? (see also picture of the power supply in my first post here)

-Do you have you any tips for me for maintenance of the machine? I have oiled the hinges and the locks of the door. I also cleaned the outside and inside of the machine with a damp cloth.

-And with the cleaning i turned the 3rolls/reels around. Go these automatic back to there good position? I tried to put them back to their old position, But that is never the EXACT spot where they came from. (it seems that they themselves return to the correct position)

    - And is it correct that the logos on the rolls/reels never exactly lined up next to each other?

Thanks for your help and time again!
You are a rescue for me!!!
If there's anything i can do for you, just say it

    Greet, Ben

    Hi Ben

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Just to confirm the 'off' and 'on' translation for your switches:

Two switches on the power supply:
    - One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
    - The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

    無 = off

    有 = on

hope that is helpful to you
