reels wont stop

Hi everyone. I just purchased my first machine. It is a Bio Messiah by Aruze. The problem is the reels wont stop spinning. They stay on for about 40 seconds and the skill stop buttons don't do anything. I have tried reseting the machine multiple times and nothing changes. When i bought the machine it came with a super reno that also doesnt work so i switched the stop board out and the bio messiah still does the same thing. I have also taken out and reseated all connections on the machine. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

it could be the joystick not centering or making good contact on connections

did you check the sonnections on the stop buttons.

also the buttons or joystick may need a cleaning

I think the joystick is ok. When i push the joystick or any button besides the stop buttons a led lights up on the board. No led lights up when i press the stop buttons. I took apart the stop buttons and it is all one unit on a board. All buttons are very clean.

I think you have a difficult problem to diagnose at a distance and it would be best to find someone who could actually examine your machine to find the trouble. That said, I would ask you to take a look at the back of your door to see the circuit board that the stop buttons plug into and examine it carefully. Pay close attention to the cable that goes from that board back to the mainboard. Make sure it is connected properly and that the connector is clean to ensure good electrical contact. Follow that cable back to the mainboard and make sure that the connection there is good as well.
I once pulled some reels and had to remove that cable to get them out. When I reinstalled them I had attached the cable but it was not seated properly and the reels kept spinning when I pressed the stop buttons. Once the cable was snug I was back in biz!
