    WELCOME!!

Late 50's-early 60's Single Shot. Nice Piece!! Whats the story on it? Did it belong to a family member, buy it an estate sale.

Feel free to introduce yourself and give us your story or intentions on what you want to do with it.

I can identify it... That's mine, I just forgot where I put it... I mean, someone borrowed it from me and then didn't return it... actually, I think it ran away from home... um, I think it was abducted by aliens... wait, I remember, the post office lost it...

If you can send it back to me I would appreciate it.

    Anyways

You scored a nice 1950's era Daiwa. It looks to be a solid machine. I like the graphic on the cell. Have you played it yet? Or actually the better question is do you have any balls for it?

Also what state are you in? There might be some members close that might be interested in your machine (thats if you would be willing to sell it).

Welcome to the hobby that just keeps growing.

Also can you post a picture of the center feature? sorry I just love looking at them.

Yes interested in selling. I will attach more pics shortly. The balls I have for it have a certain marking. I read that usually pertains to the parlor the game was established.

You’re getting closer. But it isn't really the same time period. Because if you look at the back of that machine you found you will notice that there is a lot more plastic on it. Where as his machine has more metal. But that gives you a better idea of the time period so if it is in the 60's it would probably be made before 62. But my guess would be from about 56-59.

That is a common question many people ask. However we can't tell exactly because we have no idea how many of those are out there. But what we could tell you is how uncommon it is. And based on what I have seen I wouldn't exactly call it uncommon, but it is harder to find that a Nishijin. I mean you don't see many of them but there are a few of them that I have seen so it isn't exactly uncommon. Now if you saw Jeff’s Union machine that would be classified as uncommon.

Tulip ball catchers were first released in 1962, and became ubiquitous almost immediately. This machine does not have a tulip ball-catcher and also does not have a swing door frame. This is a pre 1962 machine, and a real beauty from the looks of it.
