I would like to see a Pachinko Card Reader Emulator Dongle - Dongle Emulator. It is a software dongle that emulates the emulator dongle.

It should run on Windows 3.1 and come on a 5.25" Mini Floppy Diskette.

That one kind of exists already. I did all my initial hacking and experimentation with an interface connected to the printer port of an old Pentium 166 laptop. The software was compiled using GCC and ran in a DOS box on win98 while I was just experimenting, and on FreeDOS when I wanted to get accurate timing information.

So it should be quite happy running on Win 3.1 if you can find a suitable floppy disk to put it on. Though to get accurate enough timing, you'll probably need a Pentium or a fast (?) 486 PC.

Just incase you guys were wondering Kiai just got my lifter and is sending it out tomrrow!

Some of you sent me messages asking about how much I paid for it.
    Lifter: 4000 yen
    Shipping to Kiai: 1790 yen
    His fee: 1000 yen

Shipping from him to me (in USA): 8200 yen (this is for EMS or whatever it is, the one thats like 5-7 day delivery via air)
His fee for shipping: 820 yen
    Extra wrapping: 2000 yen

This comes out to about $197USD

It would have been as cheep as $128USD I think he said If i wanted it to be shipped the long way (like 3 months to get here) and without him wrapping it. I dont know how it got there but he said it was just like wrapped in bubble wrap, not in a box or anything, so thats why I paid the extra. So I wanted to protect my investment and I want it here asap!

A lot better I think that the $250 range you guys were telling me about on here!!!

    Cant wait!!!

If you were buying for resale, as a business, I'd think $53 isn't outta line as a profit.

They're pretty sturdy, if it weren't for that long square tube, several could fit in a box easily just wrapped in newspaper.

Thanks for the info TNT! That was dynomite! (Sorry.. couldn't resist.)

I was considering one from Kia as well.. but was a reluctant as my feeble brain couldn't conceptualize the full cost with all the components. Unfortunately, I'm not quite ready to spend $200 on a ball lifter just yet. Plus my fingers are almost healed up from the 'table saw' adventure that I may soon get back to my shop and try to make one.

It is a good bet that you will get one from Kiai that is pretty clean. It really will vary depending on the state that it is in. As long as you are "handy" you will figure it out.

I used Windex.. ton of windex.. and humm also.. oh did I already said ton of windex.. and maybe also some other windex.. lol, if your is like mine, you will need A LOT! hehehe.. Also, be sure to clean the path where the balls goes. clean the square tube and the kind of upper spring. The tube of my balls lifter was filled with something.. toxic?? lol.. well very very dirty, with something like ash, and so on..

To remove the ad, go to the auction section, long in, and in the left menu, you will see in blue the Wanted Ads menu, just under it, click "Open" and you will see your ads there, just click on delete, at the right side of the ad you want to remove.

This is a bit weird, the balls lifter have a track and opening at the bottom, and the balls fall on the ground there, It's kinda like an overflow track. There's also a solenoid that open and close a trap just before the gear that lift the balls. I suppose this solenoid controlled trap is used to empty the balls lifter using a switch? Can someone confirm that, and what is the purpose of the first track that look like to dump the overflow of balls??

We're not sure what the original purpose (other than lifting balls ) is of these lifters. You can block the overflow with a wad of paper or Styrofoam peanut to increase capacity. The other part you speak of is a ball dump to remotely empty the system.

What i do is: remove the solinoid assy. rewire the whole lifter and use the aluminum duct tape to block off the original ball track cutout where the balls were dumped remotely and then i pull the plastic floor out of the hopper and cut away the duct-work for the ball overflow and seal it with the same tape. it works great and lasts for years( going on 4 years now with no problem)

Do you have a picture of this so I can see how exactly you did it?

I do have another question though... Kiai sent me a picture of the exact one hes sending me and it looks to be achually somewhat clean... however the wires (both for the AC outlet and for the thing that goes on top) look pretty old... any sugestions on how to replace them? I know how to replace the AC one, but is it the same type of wire going to the other thing that goes on top? Just dont want this stuff to start a fire or anything ya know?

alright guys new question... havent gotten my ball lifter yet (still in customs) but i have looked at a lot of pictures and stuff. Anyways it looks like that spring at the top is a little to tall to fit in my case... if need be, how would i makeshift something to replace that spring in order to bring them over?
