Not really. It's just supposed to be an improved version, better memory management and such. It's just a browser and does what you'd expect a browser to do. I use it instead of IE7 at work because I like it better and use it and Safari and Camino for the MAC, just depending on my mood at the moment. There's a lot of 3rd party support for it for add-on that make it much nicer.

I hope they fixed the memory thing. I've had multiple tabs open and closed over time and had it using well over 100megs, and closing the tabs doesn't clear it only closing the whole thing.

My Firefox is now 3 also. I didn't even notice till you said something.

Firefox three keeps ending. In the past few days, I have noticed that when I use forfox 3...I get an error report window and that it will have to shutdown. Tried the previous version...Same issue. I did do a recent upgrade with AVG4Free (me virus progie) and have noticed that there is a link scanner on it. I beleave this may have been the issue. If I google something, AVG will check off the site as no threats found, or visa versa. I disabled this feature of AVG. hopefully that fixes it.

Anyone else with this problem?

Just found the problem...If anyone else has this happening...do the following. Go to tools, add-ons, and disable the AVG V8 Safe search feature.

That AVG link scan is a pain, I turned it of soon after installing the new AVG...I hear its also costing sites lots of bandwidth!!
