Speed Racer just hit the Door

Well I had got so caught up in playing my new machines from big Bear I just about forgot I had ordered a scratch and dent speed racer from Stelth a few days prior. I got it in his scratch and dent section and the site said it had some flaking of the gold chrome. Well I could not beat the price and thought I could live with some flaking.Especially since watching some of the recent E bay auctions close on this model at very high prices! WoW I am REALLY satisfied! The machine was spotless clean inside and out. It had been cleaned and it really shinned and the smell was that it had been really polished! The flaking was just about non existant. I would describe it as more of just some rubbing of the gold on the edge above the reel stops. not really flaking just a little less gold more like it had been rubbed down from the game play. I was expecting flakes or chips just peeling off. i was home and about 8:00 last evening a knock at the door! Fed -ex.....Yes the machine was finnaly here!! I unpacked it like a kid at Christmas and WOW what a great machine! I guess I am partial to this classic theme because of the connections to my childhood and the watching of the speed cartoons for years! I am glad I grew up and dont watch speed racer any more Well i have a five year old son and he is my excuse for speed racer now! I plugged in the machine and the new shiney tokens and from the start I just love it! I got up this morning and hit a small bonus round and it was cool! I like the LCD play and the sound and lights are very nice.The gold chrome makes it look very classy. I noticed it had two dial volume controls on it down by the speakers on the inside...really nice feature. The one thing I noticed is the pay lines on the right side of the machine do not light up when the tokens are inserted or when the bet is placed? All my other machines the pay lines that say 1medals,2medals, 3medals light up for each credit before you spin the reels. I checked the bulbs and the connections seemed to be fine. When I hit the bonus round the lights I speak of flashed and blinked and look to be working fine! I just thought they should light up when the tokens are inserted? maybe since it is a max bet machine this is obvious... all pay lines are in play. Thanks to Stelth for the great price, packaging and for sending such a clean machine!

Hmm havent recieved my 1st Pachislo yet but I work at a US Casino and the ones that make you bet max usually dont light up as you put the quarters in one by one. of course coins are being phased out anyway now so you need bills and ticket slips print out instead of dropping coins.. kinda sad but makes sense too. Plus we have a box of "abandoned tickets".. usually 10 cents or so but if you figure 20,000 guests a day, each guest drops 4 of these .. thats .40 cents x 20,000 guests.. not bad for disposable "useless" tickets lol-- no wonder our xmas bonus was so big

One of my 1st Machines I purchased was a scratch & dent Wanted from Milt, and when it arrived it was in better shape than most of the machines I have ever purchased from any vendor. Mike : )
