I've thought it over and first thing I will do is filter top metal screen. I'll attach the filter via mini zip ties, probably just one on each end.

I use these filters in my home and they both catch tons and quiet noise from vents.
First step begins, hope everyone is doing well halfway thru the week. My 5 Ferrets say what's up.
