    I tend to agree with Machgo.

    I sure wouldn't scrap the machine if this is the only piece that is broken.
    It's just a "pass-through" piece. I would find something similar in size, that would work with the existing nail placement. I'm not referring to the nail placement securing it, but to the nail placement surrounding it. So, balls will still be able to enter the pass-through from the side.
