I was going through a box of random electronic stuff in my garage, and I came across the following item (pictures attached). It has a D-25 male connector, a place for a 9V battery, and some other electronic items (microchips, some jumper terminals). Might this be the dongle that came with my Sankyo pachinko machine? I don't want to plug it in with a battery just in case it was built for some other purpose. Unfortunately, I don't see any identifying markings or text on the board.

I went to the local electronics store today and picked up the components to make the bypass dongle. The shooter works now and there's no more "5" on the LED on the back! The electronic components are a bit precariously seated and I'd imagine I'd bump into my dongle with the ball box in the back so perhaps I'll find a housing for it or another way to shield the dongle.

    Thanks everyone!

    Glad you go it working

The important bit is, you know why. Some dongles have the components covered with glue froma hot glue gun to protect them as that doesn't conduct electricity.

Of course if you want to get a Daverob Credit dongle and then use the buttons on the front of the machine. That is an option too.

Hi I'm new to Pachitalk. I've owned a Sankyo Casino Pachinko for many years but the Dynamic Power Grip just quit and no longer shoot balls. I done some limited trouble shooting (checking fuses, power to motor, and making sure the the motor and gear lever and free etc) I have no way of testing the electronics attached to the top motor housing so additional trouble shooting is beyond my grade level. Any thoughts on next steps to try and if needed where I can get a replacement part. Thanks rsm

Hello RSM and welcome to the group!

I'm not familiar with the inner workings of these but others should be along to offer some help.
    Just wanted to say HI

yes the handle is there but I do NOT see a motor either. Not sure where you would get one unless someone from here may know or have a parts machine

The guy said he took the motor out for testing.

But yes, same as the beginning of this thread, check all the CR components. The dongle, 1A fuse, Shooter ground wiring. etc.

Moparformances: Here is another photo after re-installing the motor. I took it out so that I could test the micro switch in the handle assembly.IMG_0063.jpg the switch was functioning correctly so I think perhaps the electronics in the motor assembly may need replacing. I really appreciate all your help.

so making a few assumptions... you have a dongle, its installed and working...

your shooter has a sensitivity adjustment.. have you tried adjusting it??

I think there is a chance this is not a CR machine. A full picture of the front would confirm this.

Drunkenclam/Moparformances Here is a picture of the front of the machine. As far as the dongle I do not see one anywhere. All I see is a 2 wire power line coming from a circuit board to the shooter motor then a three wire circuit going to the shooter handle. 2 are connected to a micro switch which is working when you depress the small red lever on the twist ball and the other going to a metal ring. Under the cover of the shooter motor is a printed circuit board with various components. How do you adjust the sensitivity of the shooter?IMG_0066.jpg Thank you both for your suggestions. Unfortunately your dealing with a novice on this end so I not sure what a CR machine is but look forward to learning.

This looks to be the same frame as my Sankyo Downtown Theater which I currently have apart.
The lower right back should have a connection for a dongle. Although the back is a little different than mine.
    SankyoDowntown.jpg

The dongle that connects to this may look like one of these. Mine needs one for the shooter to work.

Two items of operation about your shooter knob. The small red lever acts as a pause button. This is for if you want to stop more balls from shooting without turning the knob away from a sweet spot. Depress to pause, release to resume shooting. The metal ring is to be touched while you turn the knob in order for the balls to shoot on this model.
