Default 1950's Heiwa Venus Single Ball

Well, after taking a year off from my hobbies due to a more than crazy work and personal life, it seems I have eased myself back into Pachinkos by acquiring another Pachi that kind of fell into my lap. I wasn't looking to add any more machines to my collection (yet), but I found this one on eBay with 20 mins left in he auction with no bids, so I made the minimum bid (hoping that someone would snipe it at the last second) and I won it!

Other than the usual dust and a spider web or two, this machine is in pristine condition and works like a champ!!

I am so happy to have it in my collection, as I prefer the older, more antique machines over the modern ones. Next to the Hokoku machine in my avatar, this one is probably the best looking and working machine (condition wise) that I have.

    ~Jeff

P.S. There is a lot of Japanese writing all over the back of the machine. Not sure what it is all about, but I think it adds to the character.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Looks amazing, almost like some Art Deco front. Nice to see the mechanism looks so alike what the 70s machines have.

    I love it

OH as for the Kanji on the front on the Venus badge, That says Heiwa 平和 I also have that Kanji engraved on the glass of my games room, I did this even before I had an pachi machines.

Nice find Jeff. It seems almost every 50s-early 60s single shot I find has writing all over the back. I'm not quite sure why. A lot of it looks like it was done by little kids practicing.

That is a beautiful single shot and defines what I love about the looks of that era. Simple and elegant and not an attempt to put every color of the rainbow or graphic element on a cel. I would display that one in the living area of my house as opposed to my gameroom/basement where the rest of my machines are.

Very nice! IMO, while modern machines may be more "fun" to most with their tulips, autoloaders, flashing lights, slots, fevers, and such, these rarer early machines from before mass production of pachinkos will be the real collectors' pieces.
