Oh Man. You found one of those. I never thought they left Japan. I have seen one similar to this before.
Here are the pics of the other one I saw.
Sorry that is as big as the pics get. I found it through a google search so they are small. I would love to see what the insides look like.

JUMBO pachinko!!!
I love it. I wonder if they were seriously used in pachinko parlors or if they were merely "arcade" animals as indicated in the pictures supplied by mxfaiman.
It may be that these machines were 'novelty' entertainment only machines and never served time in an actual pachinko parlor considering they would not fit in the standard rows and seating arrangements.
I also doubt pachinko parlor owners would want a machine that provides essentially twice as many payout opportunities per ball. This would have been a nightmare for your in-house nail bender.

looks like it has 2 looser slots.. ya can see what looks like two play fields there is a exit point in the middle of the game where the first cell would end and the second would start.. looks like a section of track there as well to catch balls and take them..

That is a very cool machine. I'm anxious to see more pics and a video of it in action would be awesome. From the 1970's, when I first got involved with Pachinko machines, until now I've never seen anything like this one.
