    Default My first "vintage"

Picked this up today. Not sure what make or model or if it works. Does need some TLC. Pretty sure I can kill it!

Well looks like you found a 1975 Nishijin model B (crab).

Pics of the back would be helpful to see anything that might be missing.

I think it's all there on the back, this the first one of this type for me so any help will be greatly welcome. I'll post photos of back later.

Photos of the back as promised. I think it's all there but what do I know. I've read the stickies on the model B and it looks complete to me. Yes, I know the yellow wire in the lower left corner goes to the light bulb socket. There are about a zillion balls jammed in it that I have to clear out somehow and the machine is filthy.

Can't help but notice the Pachinko Factory sticker on the machine. Did yours come from Calgary, AB too?

Short of disassembling the entire machine, I've had some success in loading balls and triggering the jackpot manually to clear out won balls, which it looks like that machine has a ton of. Someone else may be able to tell you an easier way of doing it though. (At least with my Masamura, the entire back mechanism comes off in one unit, providing an easy solution to this problem. Not so easy on the Nishijin.)

    Musky,
You can get lots of advice here on removing the back plastics if you decide to go that route...

I think it is worth the effort because sometimes there are internal problems that just can not be seen with the plastics on...

Anyhow, a battery will struggle with all those lights on at the same time... might want to consider a wall power supply.
