New to Pachislo and the community and need some help!!!plz

I have a Hello Santa Pachislo machine and everything turns on and seems like it works beside the coin mech not registering the coins I put in. I looked in the back and have read some info on the coin mech. The magnet rejector thing is sticking out and stays that way and i'm not sure if it's supposed to stay out like that. The coins I put in just fall into the bottom tray. I was wondering if there is a fix to the magnet, or do i have to replace the whole thing.

I'd try resetting the machine.

Here are the steps.

1) With the machine turned Off. Turn the reset key to the right.

2) Now turn the machine ON.

3) You can set your odds of the machine at this point. There is normally a button on the inside of the door or on the power supply. A number 1 to 6 will be displayed in the credit or payout window, on the front of the machine. Push the button till you get the odds you want. (1=less payout 2,3,4,5, 6= more payout).

4) Hold down on the spin lever. (5 seconds)

5) Turn the reset key to the left. (While turning the reset key to the left you should hear a "click sound" from the coin mech., that is the magnet pulling the metal plate in, so it will accept tokens.)

6) The machine should be reset at this point.
Each step Must Be Done Exactly or the machine will not reset.
