Anyone know if the LED next to the photo transistor is to be lit all the time. I have ce code and have tried cleaning. I'm thinking that the LED is burned out. I'm showing 4.9vdc to LED.

This a photo of the coin meck. I'm wondering if anyone might just have one, may be easier then trying to repair.
Also. Maybe the LED is an IR LED, If thats the case, it wouldent look like it's lit
