Default Daiichi Pachinko Machine - tough one to work on!

Boy...you guys lied to me! This sucker was tough to clean up...a lot tougher than my Nishijin machines. This machine was really dirty, needed new glass, had bent nails in front, bent wires in back, but after about 6 hours of working on it and getting it back together it started to work again! I was a little nervous for a while there...it was like I decided to work on my car and decided to take the engine apart! I would of been lost without the help of videos and pictures on the internet.

    Well, here's a little vid:

Looks great!!!just a thought: Some brasso on the heads of the nails would really make that machine pop. Give it a shot; you'll be surprised at the result!
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?

Very nice work. I agree with Bigdog. Take a little brasso to the nail heads.

I never liked brasso. (gives off too much fumes and it doesn't clean that well) I use MAAS metal polish paste. You can find it at ace (it is in a silver box and the tube is silver). It works great for any metal but I found it works best on brass. It can make brass look like it is almost chrome.

    Nice Job on the Daiichi.

    100 machines and counting...

Surprisingly I use that to give the chrome frames a final shine. I also use that to polish the pivot shafts on the back side. Isn't it amazing how it is designed for one thing but can work better for another. (Though it does work great on aluminum. I used it to polish a sheet of aluminum diamond plate. The thing ended up being a little too shiny.)

Thanks for the kind words guys and advice! I have Brasso on hand, so I'll try that first! In the mean time I'll buy some of that "Mother's Mag Polish" for my wife for Valentines day and tell her to use it on her nails!

Its really nice to have a Newbie that lives down the road a piece but I predict some possible trouble in the Heartland if You don't watch your P's & Q's. Seriously though your wife gave you some fair warning and You like to walk on the Wildside with purchases and jokes. When it comes to Valentines Day I would zero in on whatever makes her smile and secure your future and the health & well being of your newly acquired machines. I look forward to your future posts and longevity...Jim

Sorry my little attempt at humor came off strangely. I was having a good time at your expense by acting as though maybe the wife was giving you a rough time. Personally i think its cool when couples and familys can share in the fun of the pachis! Glad you're all enjoying the experience so much, Jim.
