How Much are Balls at a Real Japanese Pachinko Parlour?

With our own pachinko machines we have unlimited balls to use...but how much would these balls be at a geniuine pachinko parlor?

Do you get them in increments of 25 balls per credit like th dongles simulate?

I'm sure the price depends on the type of parlour you would be in but does anyone know an average how much these balls are?

I wonder how much I would really be spending as I pour thousands of balls into the shooter bin!

I think the last time it was discussed here, I believe the balls were 'loaned' at 4 yen and redeemed at 2.5 yen?

Traditionally it's been 4 Yen per ball, so you get 25 balls for 100 Yen (which is why some machines have x100 written next to their credit displays, so each credit is worth 100 Yen or 25 balls).

Recently some Parlours have been offering cut price pachinko on older machines, where you get 50 or 100 balls for your 100 Yen credit. The latter is more popular and has led to the term 'ichi pachi' ('ichi' is Japanese for 'one') referring to 1 Yen pachinko.

So 25 balls (100 Yen):
In US Dollars = $1.21
Canadian Dollars = 1.20
In GBP = .75
In Euros = .93

Interesting to keep in the back of your mind when putting more balls int he machine. Also puts things into perspective when using those cool dongles!
