Default Taco Slot Reset key missing

Hi all. Forum 'Noob' here. I was looking for a thread to help me out with a missing reset key for a Taco Slot machine I recently picked up. I believe the reset key is used in the upper right corner of the machine (pictures attached). I have no problem either replacing the key with a toggle switch or getting another key, I just would like some guidance on which is 'easier'. Thanks for your input. I am sure this forum will prove to be a great find for me gong forward.

    swap it with a toggle...

finding a key and switch that wil fit in the same hole will be hard and a waste of time.. get a toggle and be done with it

    First of all...Nice car!
Second...thanks for the info, that's how I was leaning. Is there an 'easy' way to get that metal box out (or get the lock out)?

not sure how the box is attached...

unplug the machine first and remove the box.. the lock should be held in with a nut.. the lock is just like a toggle switch.. instead of turning the key to do a reset your just flipping the toggle

The removal of the box is the issue. The reset key is not down with the power button it is up on the top right hanging off one of the boards. I don't see any screws holding it in place and I don't want to damage the board if I do it incorrectly. Any thoughts on how it is attached?

To change that reset switch requires a little more work than normal.

First remove the reel cage. Undo the two connections,(wiring harnesses), on top of the reel cage. Then only one screw holds it in, it's located in the middle/bottom of the reel cage. Now remove the stop board, just two screws hold it in. Also remove the hopper.

Why I have you remove the stop board and hopper is because you are going to have to drill out the lock on the reset switch case and you don't want metal shavings to get into them.

Ok, with everything removed you are ready. Under the black plastic shield is a lock. It needs to be drilled out. Use a 5/16" drill bit. Don't worry about drilling into something behind the lock, there's nothing behind it. Now with the lock drilled out the case will open downward and you have access to the reset switch. Cut the two wires and install a new switch. Doesn't matter which wire goes to the contacts on the new switch.

It may sound like a lot involved, but it's really fairly simple.

    Here's some pictures.
