Need Help Choosing A Pachislo For The Missus

Hi everyone!

The missus was keeping me company while I was working on a vintage Nishijin pachinko and somehow the discussion lead to pachislo machines. I know very little about them (read: next to nothing) but when I told her about the skill stop function and how loads of them have music and animated screens, she became extremely interested in getting one for the parlour. She liked that there was more going on than just watching reels spin and asked me to look into getting a fun one for her.

The only model of pachislo that I'm at all familiar with is Shake II, which is super-cool and is the kind of machine that we'd like to get as it seems quite interactive with lots going on and a fun theme. Could you kind souls recommend some machines that fit that criteria - skill stop, prominent music, animated screen - that you've found to be fun to play? Any recommendations would be extremely appreciated.

There are a lot to choose from. I would first start by seeing what is available to you. Checking Craigslist, eBay, online vendors etc. Then if you see one in the price range that you are willing to pay and with a theme that would interest you or your wife, I would search the name in youtube. There are a lot of videos of these machines and should give an idea of music and game play.

I've been checking CL and eBay for some time but, unfortunately, to no avail. The CL machines out here have been really basic and boring for some time now (read: no animated screens), and all the eBay machines that have looked interesting have been "local pickup only". We're willing to spend upwards of $300-350.

I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy that has a Machine for sale... well under your budget...

I'm half-English and half-Mexican - that Del Sol would be a GREAT gateway dru...erm, pachislo for me! Then the missus could have fun with it while we do some research for another one that has all the bells and whistles that she wants. End result = His & Hers Pachislos!

Just looked at a few videos of that one on youtube - that is exactly the kind of machine that the missus would love. Thanks for the suggestion of that model! I'll have to show that one to her.

My girl really likes the "sindbad adventure" by Eleco. It features an LCD that is laid over top the reels...always some sort of action happening.
