Neo Magic Pulsar Switch and Menus

Does anyone know what this switch does next to the level select button?

Also when you press the right hand rubber button at the bottom of the screen in goes into a menu. Does anyone have a translation of the menu options?

The small switch determines if the machine needs to be reset with key after Big Bonus or not. In upper position the reset is not needed and you can continue the game normally. You reset the game by turning the door key to left.

Menu options are pretty basic. GAK trading did have downloadable manual with translations but I didn't found it anymore. If you really need it just PM me.

Menu pages are:
Past results
Record of current player
Bonus record
Magical 10x Zone Description
Neo Magic Pulsar Description
Game mode selection
Cancel / Back

If you turn the operator key inside to right, the on screen menu has couple of extra operator options too:

Set the time and date.
Reset all stats.

If you don't turn the machine on for a week, difficulty level, stats, time and date will reset and machine shows an error. You have to set the difficulty level again at least. I think there is a small capacitor to keep the memory and it runs out in few days.

One dip switch next to volume controls determines if the menu is accessible for players or not. I don't know what they all do. Maybe there is option for game mode selection also (Neo Magic mode / King Pulsar mode).

I don't have that Game Mode selection screen in the menu.

GAG trading manual has even a picture of it with two frogs (the wizard and king). If someone have the menu option, please please say the correct dip switch positions.

The Game Mode select is missing on mine also. All the dip switches are down.

Sorry to reply old thread but I bought Neo Magic Pulsar brochure from Japan and there are couple of pages describing the King Pulsar mode. I haven't translated the text yet but here are the scans combined in one page:

The brochure clearly shows King Pulsar frog animations below reels. It would be so much fun to see those little frogs and hear the different music!

Maybe the menu option is there when the10X Zone is active. Neo Magic Pulsar owners please try. And if you can help with translation it would be awesome. I'm so slow with kanji.

However, I just wanted to point out the path to GAK's manuals to any that didn't already know.
Just look at the 2nd menu bar near the top of your screen; next to "User CP" you will notice "Downloads". . . click it
