I would hate to be the ship doctor on that one... they would have to have at least 4 docs, I suppose, b/c I was one doc for 1500 passengers (separate doc for the 500 crew).

I will be going again in december to mexico from san diego, but that should be easier than 5 days at sea in the pacific.

wonder how many gallons per mile on that ship? and can you imagine loading food/water for 7500 people for a week?

This vessel began its construction long before the economy went belly up. the funds were already invested.

ships like that can make money due to the large amount of cabins. this sort of investment may not pay off right now but through out the life of the vessel it will.
it wont be long before the economy bounces back and people will have disposable income or credit cards they can max out without worry..

give it time

This ship will do fine. The question in regards to the economy would be, "Who is it taking buisness from?" Will RC be only filling the ship from it's own pool? Or will they be taking from other companies?

RCI is our prefered cruise line. Kathy and I have been on several of their ships. And hopefully in the near future we will be albe to enjoy this one. The biggest one we have been on to date is the Explorer of the Seas at 138,000 tons. (Explorer Of The Seas - Royal Caribbean International )
