Light and Dark

Kind of a dual category post, but I'll stick this here.

Light:

Went on adventure today to pick up a new pachislo. Speed Racer - Aristocrat. It has the issue with the hum coming from the speakers. For the time being I stuck cotton balls in the cones. I'm going to install L-pads, and see if this will help. Any other suggestions?

Dark:

While we were there, we got to talking about pachinko, and he told me they had a vintage they didn't know what to do with, and offered to sell it to me for a really good price. I couldn't say no, so came home with a Nishijin 'A' with the conversion on it. I'll have to start a new thread for this one.

I think all Speed Racers have that strange hum. I fit L-pads to mine. It won't get rid of the hum, just make it quieter.

Monkeyboy is correct, the Speed Racer machines all tend to exhibit the speaker hum.

Just finished installing the L-pad. Much better!

In the parlors you probably wouldn't even notice the hum over all the other racket.
