Ya'll gonna be jealous!

A while back I posted an ad on Houston's Craigslist for Pachinko's Wanted. Today I got my first email in reponse. Turned out they live less than 2 miles from me and they only wanted to $20. They even sent me photos. I was concerned about the quality of the machine when I called but they assured me that it worked before it sat in storage for a while.

So, I checked a few of the post here and the model really intrigued me so I went and picked it up. They even had about 400 balls that went with the machine. I felt guilty about taking $20 so I gave them $30.

The photos below were taken right after I got it home and before any clean up was done. It appears to be in a custom cabinet with piano hinges and the lock has been modified to turn with a screw driver. I took about an hour to get all the jammed up balls and the few bugs (literally) out of it and then 'undid' some of the 'adjustments' that was done to it and plugged her in. It worked! It even opens the tulips like it should! She is still dirty and will need new plexiglass and a new 'bumper' as the one on top and the shooter one seems dead. But she's gonna clean up good!

Woo Hoo! I now have 4, count them, 1,2,3, FOUR!

I believe those nails are designed the 'deflect' fast falling balls towards the spinner pocket just above. I have not been able to play with it to much as of yet as I've been working this long weekend on repairing damage from Ike.

In answering another query, this is a PowerFlash labeled machine, but like another post had determined, it was supposed to say PowerFlush but the translation / spelling didn't go right. The reason it looks a bit odd is due to the fact that it is in a custom cabinet and the original frame no longer exist. I will probably leave it in the cabinet it is in for a while, although I will probably added a larger base for stability, putty up the broken venier on the bottom and paint it so it will fit in better in the KeyChinko Pachinko Parlour!

Hey Fellow Texan, great find. You can get some really cool deals off craiglist. I felt guilty a few times when buying things from people that listed it too low, and I payed them a little extra for pity. I really need to get into the older pachinko's and restoring them too.

I know everybodys tired of hearing about my puppy but that's how I found her. Craigslist came through for the perfect Christmas present.

Woo Hoo! Got her all cleaned up and spent some time in her backside as she was not paying off every time. Now, she works great! I've had to do nothing to the electicals, the two lights and all the solinoids work as they should.

In a post by Eddie he explained how his machine worked. My machine is a bit different so here's how it goes. The first photo below is a close up of the (now clean) playing field.

There are a few pockets that do nothing other than pay a jack pot.
Those are the spinner, the top of the spinner and the two 'Wing Holes' on each side of the center target. (BTW, the center target is a bird, a phoenix I believe.)

Note, the small spinners above above the Queen and the Joker, this spinner prevent balls from entering unless that pocket is open.

A ball in the Jack or the Ace will open that pocket and pay a jackpot.

A ball in the King will open all the pockets below it, including the Joker and pays a jackpot.
When a ball goes into the Joker, it will first CLOSE all the corresponding pockets (same suit) and then pay a jackpot. (This is frustrating a heck!)

A ball in the center target can either fall into the crown or go to the side. If it goes to the side, it will fall into one (randomly) of the lower smaller 'wings' and open all the pockets on the same side. Again, a ball in the open Joker closes them.

A ball in the crown of the center target, opens ALL the pockets including the Ace. However, the Joker will still close it's respective side. The ace is unaffected by a Joker.

The hopper empty light is behind the Q in the upper left and the JackPot light is behind the K in the Upper right.

This is really a fun machine. It has the potential to pay huge,but the Joker is positioned to be an easy target and thus limiting the pay out.

Finally, the second photo is the KeyChinko room with all 4 machines ready to play.
