Default IGT PE+ Video Poker (Player's Edge) (1991)

    Hi all,

I am seriously looking into a IGT PE+ Video Poker machine from worldwidegaming.com they have 13 in stock for around 650 a piece. It is the cheapest I could find anywhere for this machine. My 1 criteria was a double/up/down feature after the hand is dealt for a win. This machine has that option. I BV is not really mandatory so it works out ok. What Model S5500 or S6000 MPU is this? Or is it something different? How hard is it to find parts for the PE+? I also found a guy on craiglist selling a IGT PE Video Poker from 1985, for 400. But I was told that I needed to stick with the PLUS not just a PE. So I am debating on which one I want to get, the PE for 400 does not have the double/up/down feature of the PE+. Shipping on the 600 dollar PE+ would be 0, since they have a warehouse in Garland, TX I could have them ship it to them for free. So I can walk out the door with 600 + Tax for this machine. If anyone knows of a better price on this model please let me know. I have seen them in the 1200-1600 dollar range for this model elsewhere. Let me know what your pachitalk peeps think.

Also the one I am wanting to get from them is this one.

S5500 and 6000 are Bally machines, Not IGT.
PE and PE+ are older IGT's and parts are hard to find. (try a search on ebay)

Sorry, All I know about that machine is that you have to be over 21 to play it.

Is that a smudge on the screen where the jack is? or is it a Burned in monitor?

Looks like a smudge. But the one I just found out I would be getting is the 5cent one in the first link I posted. The thing on that one that concerns me is the smudge on the left of the machine going up and to the left of the glass can you see it? I am wondering if that is tape or just some residue left over from a cleaning. That one is supposed to be on the showroom floor and that would be the one I would prebably be sent. He said the 25 cent one needs to be reshopped and tested before releasing.

The streak looks like a reflection. PLUS...It doesn't have a big plaque on it warning you of the age play!

Those machines are cool. If I were to get one, it would be the nickel one also. If your friend hits the jackpot (and my math is correct) all it will pay out is 160 bucks.
    ______________________________________________________
Oops..I want to edit that, but can't. My math was off a bit. it's 800 bucks. (.05 times 16000) Sorry.

I have a IGT PE+ Slant Top Video Poker 1994 model, I paid $500 for it back in Feb.
It is a multi-game, has 5 different games.
    Is that one a multi-game?
The double up feature can be turned on/off in the setup program.
The "smudge" in the Jack is probably the card animation that plays when the machine is idle, you can see it in the cards on the left side.
My monitor has a slight burn-in which is visible when it is turned off, but it works great.
Unless you planning to keep buckets of nickels on hand, you really want the BV.
I just load mine with a few $20's and play away, also I have the "cash out" button disconnected so there are no payouts at all.
Because if you hit a jackpot or say you hit for 4000 nickels, and you don't have that many on hand you will have to keep reloading it until it pays out completely.

Wink Re: IGT PE+ Video Poker (Player's Edge) (1991)

Yes this one is not a multi gaming one. Should I ask if it has a BV with it? Cause it didnt seem like it had one. I don't have to use nickels right I can use the credit button or switch inside to add credits to it couldn't I? The MAIN thing I must have in the machine is a double up feature, that makes the game more exciting to play imho. I hope that smear is just a reflection in the glass, seems to be in good shape, but it does have scratches and dents on the side of it. But I should be able to clean it up real nice. If you don't mind me asking where did you get that slant top multi game for 500? I would get that if I could find it somewhere.

    Thanks,

Those don't look like they have BV's in them, but you should ask about it.
As far as adding credits with a switch or whatever, my machine does not do that and I do not think those will either but I could be wrong.
The double up feature like I said can be turned on or off with the setup program.
You are going to have some cosmetic damage with a machine that old, mine is the same way.
I found the seller on Ebay, they are near Dayton, OH
eBay Seller: lemans1969: Collectibles items on eBay.com

But I did not go through Ebay to get it, me and a friend of mine drove down and bought 2 of them.
They might have more, they had a whole warehouse filled with slot machines.

So is there an easy way to get into the setup program on it? And what things can be changed on it? I heard someone say you can even change the background color of the theme. I went ahead and ordered it just now. So I need to call them in the morning to go over the details. The wife probably wont find out for another 36 hours that I got it, by then I hope to have gotten paid from payday! I figure she didnt divorce me over a 800 dollar pinball machine, then what is a measly 600. LOL. Man my addiciton grows everyday! I will definately be posting video of the machine ones its received and cleaned up proper for all to see.
Let me know about the setup or where I can find an online manual for it.

On my slant top, the setup program starts when you open the top of the machine.
There is a button inside to change the different screens and you use the jackpot reset key to change the parameters.
You can change the sounds, colors and things like that.
They should supply you with a manual or at least a summary guide of the basic features.
You can try New Life Games Tech Forums for more info on video poker machines.

I looked on NLG for a manual for the IGT PE+ video poker but could not locate it. If anyone knows where I can get a soft copy or Hard copy that would be great.

Well I ordered the 600 dollar one, It should be here by Monday. Also I purchased another one (You know addicts, 2 is better then 1) a PE Video Poker without the Plus. It is in good shape got it off craigslist for 375. That is a great price for a video poker machine from the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas. It is also a 5 center. It actually came with a stand. This darn thing weighs in at 320 pounds. It's still sitting in my car until I can get someone to help me bring it in lol. Got a question for the tech guys out there, I have no manual for the PE video poker and I have the reset keys also. How do I enter the setup screen on this sucker? The owner wasn't sure how to do it, I know it is possible just not sure how. If someone might know how to enter setup on a 1985 PE Video Poker machine please let me know. Thanks

I was mistaken in my other post.
My slant top does not go into the setup when you open the door, there is a button inside marked "self test", press that and it goes into the setup program.
There are instructions on the screen how to change the paramaters in each category.
I would assume that it is the same for the IGT upright machines.

OK on my PE Video Poker, no Plus. It is from the Satdust Casino in Las Vegas, so it is a bit different then the manuals pictures show. I cannot locate the Self Test Switch inside the machine. Near the power is just that the power switch nothing else near it. I do have the reset keys but not sure how they work. If anyone can let me know how to get this thing in self Test Mode so I can change the settings that would be great!
