I talked to my son today, his girlfriend already got another vechile.

    a 2005 ford escape v6 automatic with 45,000 miles for $12,998.00

she feels safer driving something a little beefer after their accident.

her 2004 mitsuibichi car was totaled for $7,000.00 and she still owes 4,800.00 on it

so she is back to square one on car payments.

the only drawback is average milage on the escape is 17 mpg.

she was gettig around 25 mpg.

LD, we have a non-hybrid Escape that regularly gets 23 mpg with the six cylinders. Something is wrong with that one.

Well a K&N air filter and 6 Pulstarplugs

    http://www.pulstarplug.com/

Will help the mileage if the vehicle is properly tuned up .

Thumbs up Re: my sons auto accident

She'll be happy with it. Quick, responsive, drives more like a car than an SUV. The only thing I don't like on it is the steering. There is such a thing as "too responsive." Ours has been problem free for the last 150k.
