Default New Arepachi on the way!!!

Yes it is the machine from Ebay Japan that was brought to my attention from Member, Compirate!

Its comming to America as I write this and I will give it a warm welcome indeed.

Here are a few pics of the machine as was sent to me before the packing took place.

I do have one question however. The machine is 100v

And it has not been converted to the US current with a transformer.

    What transformer will work?

I do have a transformer ,from Arby, for use with the Cell Pica cleaner. It converts US current to 100v

Can that be used just to check out the machines workings untill I can install a proper transformer?

Once this machine gets here Ill give a full review and maybe make a vid.

It looks really cool and from the pics it looks all intact with just some typical cell dirt.

the 100 volt is fine you wont have any problem with it . I don't see any flouresent fixtures so i doubt it has any ballast but if it did they usually have a 50hz and 60hz tap use the 60hz here . but as for changing the transformer i dont see any real need to do so the rectifiers on the board that step it down will work fine with 100 or 110 so no sweat enjoy your machine.

Always glad to be of service! Now to get that Mahjong machine!

Here's the converters. There the same units Arby uses. Considering what your paying to get it here, you may want to invest in a dedicated one anyway. I have no idea how much power that machine pulls.

Cant do. All of my machines MUST be at a normal comfortable play height. Within Reach and view otherwise why have them?

I have an apt with machines meant to be played but kept in better condition than items in a museum (I work in a museum so I know LOL) not LIKE items in a museum

ok heres the deal your transformer is a 4 to 1 conversion step down from100volt to 24 volt ac so if you do the math at 110 the conversion is 110 /4 = 27.5 volt or 3.5 volt higher than at 100volt now your regulator is set for a larger span of voltage on its input to protect it from spikes as well as its normal 20% tolerence factor so the input can be 4.8 volts higher just on the tolerence factor alone let alone the variance for spike protection . there is no danger from running your japanese 100 volt on the us 110 volt system the problem is only with those things that are sensitive to hertz ratings since half of japan runs on 50 hz and the other half on 60 hz most equiptment used in japan have adjustments on them for that problem (i.e.the two power taps for your flouresent ballast on your machine one 50 hz one 60 hz ). your transformer couldnt care less about the hz rating and a variac or the converter mentioned here do nothing to effect this problem .luckly it only effects things like tape recorders and vcr's that base their speed on hz ratings .and even then they'll only run in fast forward it wont cause any problems with the electronics . so rest assured your machine will be fine as long as it is 100 volt rated ...

If rewire to 100V (and not a 100 volt transformer put on the frame)
Power Converter - Step Up/Down Japan Transformers
I use Model No. VC-2000J to run my two machine frame frome Japan

or if a transformer just unhook it and replace with one in the 6 amp ranage

24v to 110v 6 amp transformer for Pachislo Slot Machines

You will know best when you have it in hand . . . .

Yes it is all Stainless Steel, like that one one ebay but mines all there and is not painted that sickly green.
    Very cool
