guess i will just put it in the game room as a decoration piece for now. maybe one day i will get lucky and need the parts for another one. kind of upsetting though. oh well only 33 dollars down the drain.

you spent $33.00, and won't do that again.

but, you gained a lot of knowledge for future buys

yeah that is definately the truth. im used to spending hundreds on arcade units and fixing them, but now that i know that getting parts for pachinko's machines are so defficult to find i will probably stay clear of them.

There are lots of modern pachink out there that can be had cheaply and would be a great asset to your game room, I'm sure!

It is a good unit to practice cleaning a cell. Polishing the pins and cleaning out Tulips etc.

You could even install lights to get an idea how you will go about doing it if you want

for when you get a full machine.

This will save the trial and error. Check out cleaning and light tips in the forums.

An attractive orniment for sure. But don't let this put you off on pachi! Move forward older and wiser. The hobby is way to much fun to let $33.00 put you off. Keep watching, keep reading. Give it another go!

Actually it wasn't a bad buy. If I'm not mistaken that style of Nishijin was made to swap out the front cells. I'm not sure how much of the back components stayed attached. If you find another one that is similar you may be able to swap cells around to play both in the same machine. You might want to double check with jwegger. He knows vintage machines better then I do.

It looks like the type that most of the back comes off in one piece. The little pegs sticking up on the wood should be keyed so that when you put the back parts on you can turn the keys to hold it in place. I'll take a look and see if I have one of the machines in the garage to verify
