    Default Popeye Manual?

I just received my 2nd Pachislo, Popeye. (New to the hobby and new to the board.) Does anyone have the manual to Popeye? I found an old link in a search but it is no longer active.

This game is much better than my first one (Kid's Gang) and much louder. I will probably cheap out and go for the 50 ohm resistor to see if that makes it bearable.

    Oh... Welcome to Pachitalk.
I have one of those machines.
The manual was moved by Gaku,

    It is here now.
I think that you will need more than 50 Ohms.
You might want to try 470 or 1000 Ohm variable resistors.
I had some up here at auction.
    I
I have a large supply 200 each and they only cost .50 each but the shipping and paypal fees would be $2 for each order if you wanted 2 or 200. I could put some up again, If you can't find them localy.
You have a lot of room to put them in along the red/whitte and blue/white twisted pair wires that run up the door by the latch.

I came on here just over a year ago, bought a sinbad adventure from the guys advice. They warned me about buying one, they said strange things would happen to me. An urge to buy more...and more and more...jangling of tokens at night, dreams that ive hit the big bonus... im now on machine number 5, the mumu world dx.
My path was as follows. Sinbad Adventure - King Camel - Popeye - Beast Sapp and now MUMU world DX... i still need more. Im daring to go to the dark side, pachinko...all those balls flying around, chrome gleaming against the dazzling nights...oh god, im being drawn... somebody get me a doctor...i need help... the pachiholics meetings are calling "hi, im malcymal, and im a pachiholic" sounds of clapping "well done malc, you have taken your first step" WELCOME BUDDY!

Thanks for all the replies! Thanks for the manual link too. I did add the 50 ohm resistors and it is at a rather good level now.

I got adventurous and removed the LCD screen and glass for cleaning. It was a little dirty in there and bothered me.

My Reels are a little off kilter so I will tackle that next.

About how long did it take to remove the lcd? mine is also a bit dirty, kind of just a smoke'ish cloudiness... it's not too terrible, but would look better clean

    Thanks

It really didn't take all that long. I'd say 20 minutes start to finish.

The design is really well engineered. Taking out all the screws on the screen doesn't cause it to fall. It still has two plastic slots at the top that hold it in place, ready to lift off. To get the front plastic off, there are 8 or so screws plus a hidden screw under electrical tape on each side in the center.

    Hope this helps.

To switch gears a little bit, my Popeye didn't come with the payout sticker (the one located next to the Coin Slot in this picture) Is that something available for purchase somewhere?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the info on the lcd removal, that sounds like something I can handle

Good question on this sticker, mine too is missing and would like to see it on there.

If you get any leads can you please keep me in mind.

    Thanks!

Well I did like you suggested and took apart the lcd, took like 10 min. and it about 40% brighter!!

I put it all back together and wipe the inside of the plastic (the last piece of plastic before the reels) and it was alot worse the the ones that I clean in between.

I would have to say my reels are now about 30% to 40% brighter now!! Looks awesome now!

    Thanks for the mod!
