Running 24/7 ?

This is how I run my machines too... although they usually get turned on for an hour or so a day.

My summer power bills are in the $300 zone so I have to try and be a miser on somethings... and not leaving the pachis on is one! :fisheye:

FWIW - I have repaired/restored/maintained many video games and pinballs (now pachinko !!!).

I also have several in my personal arcade "room", and although these machines are built to run all of the time... IMHO it seems to me that leaving them on 24/7 just puts "run time" and unecessary stress on them, and will cause bulbs to burn, generate heat, &c, &c.

I power up all of my machines at least once a week, play them, and turn them off. Then I simply turn them on when I want to use them.

When I have company... all bets are off and I go into "full Arcade" mode and everything stays on until the event is over.

I think it is simply a good practice to keep the gear off when not in use, and to check them, and maintain them regularly. They will certainly "live" longer.

I must admit, that ever since I got my first Pachi... I have had it on for at least an hour every day as well I am kinda' addicted to it now, and it is still upstairs (6 months now), I can't stand to be away from it just yet

I leave my machines off when not playing.

I'm on the budget plan with my electic bill and pay $85.00 a month year round

and I have central air cooling my 720 sq.ft. mobile home!!
