I'm a packrat, does anyone else still have every license plate they ever had?
I was just going thru some boxes, I have evey car, motorcycle and trailer plate I ever had going back to 1959, evan my 2 small military tages from 1964 and 1965
In Illinois you got new plates every year.
My original plan was to mount them all on my garage wall one day
but, I haven't had a garage since I moved to Florida 30 years ago.

Yeah I've got quite a few things lying around. I'm guilty of being a pack rat too. I thought we all were. Better to ask who isn't a pack rat. And if someone raises their hand, well then you found someone not to honest with themselves.
List some of the things you have that make you the pack rat that you are.

I will post a pic of this idea tomorrow. A guy about 4 blocks from me has the outside of his garage covered with license plates. but I know not all of them are his due to the numbers. To begin with, it was really neat but for somereason they are starting to rust. My Grandfather did the same as you LD. Kept every license plate. and hung them in his garage, but the numbers were all the same. 51A135 he had to pay 20 or 30 dollars every time the plate design changed in order to get the same number....
