    Default Tokens

I'm wondering about the tokens...... I ordered 1000 tokens and in going through them I've seen so many variations. Does anyone know of a listing of all the different tokens that are out there? Are these something that anyone out there is collecting? Anyone know about having custom tokens made? How about cleaning them? Is this something that should be done before using them in the machine? If so, what do you suggest?

I know, a lot of questions........ Anything said is appreciated!

    Thanks!

A few members save different tokens, most don't.

Custom tokens are pretty expensive, because dies have to be made for you design, I think just the cost of that alone was around 300.00.

to clean tokens mix some CLR with hot water, swril them around a min then rinse good with hot water and dry on a towel.

or use a rock tumbler with crushed walnut shells.

as far as getting custom minted tokens, what I have research in the last month so far is..... EXPENSIVE!!!! $150-$300 for the dies, then depending on how many you purchase, example 50,000 tokens for .086 EACH. So in other words $4,450- $4,600 for 50,000 new tokens with the design you want.

Default Chuck E. Cheese Tokens Work!

Took the kids to an indoor amusement/arcade place called Thrillz tonight, 1st time i've been there. They use gold tokens for arcade machines, etc....
I was playing coin pusher machine that spits out tickets...for the kids to redeem.
I noticed some Chuck E. Cheese tokens mixed in with the other generic/regular tokens. Whenever I go somewhere that uses tokens, I bring a few home to try in my pachislos, well low and behold both the generic and the Chuck E. Cheese tokens worked! We haven't had a Chuck E. Cheese in 20+ years so i was surprised to see them! Closest is 180 miles!
Plus i was surprised that anyplace in the US would use tokens that are the same as Pachislo tokens, that leaves places that do, open for well we all know what could be done! Not that I would! None of the redemption items are worth anything really anyways!
At 4 for a &1.00 though to expensive to buy for pachislo use!
At our local Indoor Waterpark & Arcade they also use gold tokens but they didn't work, to small!
I already have 4500 silver, got 450 silver with gold centers with my Death Valley! I like those alot also! If i can find more of those for a good price i'd like more of those also!
When i need more i think i'm gonna start buying gold tokens!
I really like the looks of the gold token!
Wish i could get my hands on a few thousand Chuck E. Cheese tokens for cheap!
Chuck E. Cheese: Where a kid can be a kid!
Where adults can be kids also!
Any other places that use pachislo sized tokens that anyone knows of??
Be kinda cool to collect all kinds of different ones!

My secret for buying tokens on ebay....

I do a search for "token lot." Quite often you will run across tokens that will work in pachislos. You want to find .984" tokens or 25mm tokens. Quite often, a seller does not know what size they are, or where they came from. You can find Chuck E Cheese tokens (usually more than I am willing to pay) or other arcade-type tokens that will work.

If you're not sure what size the token is that you are looking at, there are a number of token collector websites that display photos of tokens, along with their size, color, and text. I have purchased several inexpensive large lots of tokens that work perfectly.

Take a look at this find...
I did a search on ebay, "token lot" and found this...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/HUGE-LOT-OF-SLOT...ayphotohosting

It doesn't say pachislo, or skill stop, but if you look at the photo, they are definitely pachi tokens, as they have the name of a parlor on them. 200 isn't really a whole lot, but if you are the only bidder, you've just purchased them for 4 cents each, a pretty good price

Many of the tokens I have are older American arcade tokens. I knew before purchasing them they would fit because I found their size listed on a website for token collectors.

Wow! Chuck E. Cheese tokens are expensive! $110 for 1000 incl. S&H.
    That's 9.0909090909090909090909090909091 per token!

true but the people that buy them are saving a fortune when they take their kids to Chuck E cheese though. Thats what the majority of people are buying them for.

    !
My "special needs" brother went on a field trip with a group and they ended up stopping at a chuck E cheese. He had been there before and so he took some of the tokens from his pachislo that I got him. The police were called and according to the officer, that is concidered theft. But since my brother is the way he is, the MGR. didn't press any charges. But did file a restraining order against him though. And they took what tokens he had left and as part of the Mgr. not filing charges my parents had to pay them .25 for each token they found that my brother used in their machines. But didn't give the tokens back though. And what ticked us off the most was he was playing Daytona 500.... They didn't lose anything.. But we agree wrong is wrong, but still.

So to say the least I won't take my kids to a chuck E cheese when they get older, We will go to Gatti's that is right across the road from them.

    I suppose it's alot better than 4 for a $1.00!
I was never a really big fan of Chuck E. Cheese, anyways!
I'm glad ours closed 20 years ago and closest 1 is 180+ miles away!
There's alot better pizza places out there!
Plus what they did to your brother is the saddest thing! It didn't cost them nothing and i'm sure beforehand he didn't know it was wrong! But i bet he knows not to do it again! It should have been left at that, i can see paying $.25 for the pachi tokens he used, but that's it!
Also you should have gotten the tokens back!
As far as the Restraining/No Trespass order, that is really ridiculous!
Don't people take anything into account anymore? I could see if it was some adult or some kid, but not a special needs person!
