I have not played one so can't form an informed opinion but it SEEMS sorta like slots that pachinko parlors can get and not have to add token handling devices they can still use the ball handeling equipment they already have. For a hobbiest it seem to be a novelty. Probably still illegal in CA due to the verbiage of the definition of a slot.
