That's one of the things they do wrong anyway is protecting the kids from real life. Let's go back 50 years where kids knew about what went on in life, had responsibility, respected their elders, and knew if they were to get things they would have to work for them. It seems to me that they turned out better than they do today.

Sorry Tulsa, I meant the kids that grew up in the fifties and most of them were born in the thirties and forties.

There are a lot of great machines out there that are suited for a five year old such as Speed Racer and ThunderBirds. I think the kid not going to be attracted by the actual game play as much as he/she is going to be by the colors, noise and flashing lights. I would probably be more worried about teaching the child about gambling(even though it is just tokens). That's my two cents.

I played a nickel slot in a friends bar when I was 10 or so, I worked in a casino for a few years and I dislike gambeling.
I think the people who get hooked have beginners luck then are addicted I was fortune enough to lose when I started gambeling. I also watched as people lost their food money and rent at the tables. Then they were forced to come back to try to get their money back. What a terrible sickness

I suppose I'm one of those fortunate people that can walk out of a casino winner (which is rare) or loser.
When I go to a casino I have a set limit I can afford to lose. When that is gone, or on the rare occasion I'm actually ahead, I leave.
I like my comfort things, like a roof over my pointed head, food, things like that too well to gamble it all away.
