I have been seeing Pachilso and Pachinko machines showing up on TV lately.

I was watching CSI last month and there were a bunch of Pachilso machines being used in a shot that was supposed to be in a Vegas Casino.

In "Numbers" the main character has a vintage Pachinko machine in his office.

Unfortunately I am losing my internet connection for awhile(too long of a story ) in a day or two. For a few months I will be limited to using a friends computer once or twice a week for a few minutes for reading emails and just to skim the message thread headlines and read a couple of messages.

So if there are any enterprising volunteers out there : it would be appreciated if someone could do the journal of these videos. That is a great idea.

The scene in Miss Congenialty 2 is not filmed at the Klondike; it is not filmed in a real casino at all. The deleted scene on the dvd with Jeffrey Tambor was filmed at the klondike.

Haven't been to Slot's of Fun for a long time but when we lived in vegas it was the place to go for 25 cent 1/4 pound hot dogs, (That was 1975) I think they are a buck or something now.

The reason the alot of shows/movies are using Pachislos inplace of real vegas slot machine is they are cheaper to rent. Most of the movie props you see in a movie are rented, since the cost of a Pachislo is usually much less than a Vegas Slot the daily rental would be cheaper as well. It's all about the budget. Especially in movies that are going to have the "slots" get damaged or destroyed. I
