Machine ran out of token during a bonus! What now?

I was just testing my Beast Sapp out in the dark to see what the new LEDs look like and ended up in a Bonus round.

I got to about 300 tokens and got an error (HE I think).. When I opened the door, I found that it was out of tokens, so I put in a few 100 and expected to be able to carry on.

But I couldn't clear the error. I tried turning the level change key.. Power off/on.. Everything I could think of.. Finally I did a 'full reset' and this solved the problem, but it put me back to the start.. No credits.. No record of the bonus, just a 'full reset'.

What should I have done? As I am typing this, I am thinking "reset button"!! When a machine runs out of tokens, how do you make it continue??

well what in heavens name did you expect? in the dark... the machine was too scared to remember what to do! seriously: like lucky said turn door key to the left that should do it.

Buy more tokens, you had a hopper empty error and if a soft reset with the key won't work, you need to do a full reset which kills your bonus round.

Duh more tokens !!!!!! the reset on elco machines is on the door just push it and it should reset a empty hopper error ( a push button next to the two slide switches on the middle of the inside of the door .) be ready to catch the tokens flying out of the hopper while the door is open .......

More token Umm.. I think I have enough.. I have 3500 and have them in piles all over the place.

My Beast Sapp has been over generous since I increased the Level to 4 and it simply ran out!

I did actually try turning the key to the left and it didn't work.. But I will try again..

Thanks all for your help.. I am going to simulate the problem again now, just to see how to fix it next time..

Edit: I just tried it and turning the door switch left doesn't help.. The solution was the button on the back of the door.. However, you have to be quick because as soon as you press it, it starts dumping even with the door open and you end up with tokens everywhere!!

I have the same problem with the King Of The Battyle World. If I run out of tokens only a full reset will cure it.

So I try to keep enough tokens in it.

Damn! I always tought that when you ran out of tokens the game was over and you had to throw it away and buy another one.

Turning the door key the other way on Elecos doesn't do anything unfortunately. Hmm....that would be a good mod though. I'll have to look into it.

That the fun bit trying to catch the tokens. Stand back about a meter with a plastic container in your hand and see how many you can catch. 2 games for the price of one with a elco machine. :lol:
