No has money to spend on ebay, the cost to list on ebay and their bite they take is around 10% to 15% of the gross.

So who can list there and make any money

While I read what all they charge, I was still amazed at the final tally on that train set sale. No wonder their stock keeps climbing.

On a recent $99.99 sale I paid $10.24 in fees. So just over 10% goes to ebay/paypal. But it's alot better than standing out in the sun at the swap meet or a show every weekend. 10 years ago (Before ebay) I could do a one day show, buying a $100.00 table/space and gross $2000-$5000 with a net of about 75% of the gross in about 8 hours. Now I would have to pay $200 for a table/space and if I'm really really lucky I can gross $1000 with a 30-40% net. Really no comparison, ebay and paypal takes a big chunk but I work less and make more money overall.

I think they are laying low for awhile until the memory of the recent bust in LA dies down a little.
