Question on Non-Pachi Item For Sale

Hey folks,

I was interested in some Karaoke DVDs listed on E-Bay as "Item number: 9129467550" and being sold by a seller identified as macmillan1717 ( 11). His feedback was 100% positive but there were only 11 transactions noted, so I thought I ought to look at them a little more closely. What I found was five of the eleven transactions were "private," and a number of the other six were for "icent - no shipping cost" e-mail books on "how to make money selling 1 cent e-mail books." Five of the people providing feedback were also listed as "no longer a registered user." Then I started checking the people who left the 11 feedback data, and it seems that a lot of them are doing a lot of dealing in the "1-cent book" traffic.

What in the world is going on here? Are these guys simply building up a feedback reputation based on some phony sales gimmick? I also found that the DVD item I was interested in was not covered by the "Free PayPal Buyer Protection" notice which you find on most other E-Bay items. If this is a fraud, and it seems pretty fishy to me, I would think E-Bay should be doing something about it.

Can you folks tell me what you think is going on here?

A lot of people buy these penny items to increase their feedback, I usually don't buy from any of them.
