    Default A Hanabi Hyakkei question

On my machine, at the top left above the credit and credits in play lights, there is a digital LED and a green rectangle with Japanese characters. I have seen this section lit up and numbers inthe LED in a video of the Big Bonus. Now, I haven't acheived a big bonus yet, but nothing has lit up in this section yet. So my questions are:

Does this area light up at any other time during play? (I am wondering if it's working on my machine)

    What does this area indicate?

Also, the two switches next to the reset button in the door (as pictured below), what do these set again?

    Much thanks,

I don't have one of those but usually those are volume switches

Thanks, but not volume, that is underneath the main LCD panel - I found that. It's likely soemthing to do with forcing a reset and maybe starting in credits mode, but I am not sure and want to confirm.

    Thanks,

Those aren't volume switches. I don't know for sure, but I believe those two switches are the switches that are on the power supply of most Pachislos. One should control whether the machine dumps all credits to the token tray at the end of a bonus round, the other controls whether or not the machines should require a minor reset at the end of the bonus round before continuing.

You are correct, one way dumps tokens and needs reset after jackpot, the other way doesn't

I think I found my answer to the question regarding the top most LED display, according to Gaku's Bigbearpachisloshop instructions (thank you for this) it is a Bonus Game Counter - "When you hit a Regular or a Big Bonus, this counter turns on and shows how you how many bonus games are coming." So I guess I'll have to keep playing for a bonus to find out if this works - unless someone can confirm that it ONLY comes on during a bonus as stated.

(And darn it if it didn't pay out two regular bonuses when I wasn't paying attention and my son was playing. Since then we're in a dry spell - easily feeding the machine close to 1000 tokens and no big wins again.) Ya gotta love it.

But I do have another question....

...there is another key slot (without a key) next to the Payout Rate Changing key (seems to open the silver Payout Rate box). DOes anyone have any idea what this was used for (or what is in that box that would be serviced?)

Many thanks for all your help and patience.

I think it releases the motherboard from the machine.

It just opens the box that covers everything. Not much back there

The switches in my Osaru no Gokuu are the same, but when I switched it and reset the machine, it didn't seem to affect having to reset the machine after a bonus.

Darn, I hit a big bonus once and was so excited I didn't even look at those digits. I can't say whether they were on or off.

I'm also in a bit of a dry spell. My kid hit a reg bonus yesterday, but I must have put through several hundred tokens and got nothing since then

Yes, you do go through dry spells (which makes this machine that much more suspensful) and it's always when my son has a go at the machine that it pays off again, and again. I've set the odds down to 5 now to go even a little longer between bonuses. It's nice to watch for certain new win clues, like the rocket ships, they only come out once in a blue moon (or was that a Don Chan moon?).

On the other hand I set the odds down to 5 on my King Camel as well and darned if I didn't just put in 12 coins after resetting it and get a King AT 20 (and when I wanted to keep the machine quiet). But even after 2 weeks of play I still got a reel spin and music combo that I hadn't seen / heard before.

In some other post, someone said that setting their pachi to Skill Level 5 brought out different animations and hints....have you noticed this with HH?

Not yet, though I did get a rocket ship and can't remember seeing that one before.
