Build a snow fort with your daughter

Not having that much experience with snowballs, can you carve threads into them so you can throw curve snowballs?

The best way to get them to move when you throw them is to have a rock in the middle a little off center. The impact is a little more, shall we say, attention getting?

Now that's just dangerous. I won the "Pitch, Hit and Throw" competition when I was a kid. I can hit what I'm looking at.

I grew up in the north and have had my fair share of snowball fights. Two ways to cheat in a snow ball fight is to place rocks in them or make ice balls. I do not support the use of doctored snowballs in any way. Serious injury could result and that is not funny or very sporting. Kids, do not make ice balls or put rocks in snowballs. Have fun in the snow, but please don't try to hurt anyone.

where I grew up , we learned not to play in the yellow snow. As for spitballs, those are ok, that's how I got my wife.......long story, too short a thread.

Well, I have decided to go to the Doctor this week and get a script for Zyban(?) and nicotine patch. I have quit on my own before, but am thinking I could use a little help this time. I am going to try to get dear hubby to quit also...we could be headed for a healthier lifestyle...or a divorce..

The former seems to be a much better choice to me.

I will admit to being a "little" (read incredibly ) hard to be around during detox, but I have no idea what his mood will be. He's normally a laid back type of guy, but I have never known him to be without a cigarette. At least he is willing to give it a try...we'll see.

Dattia my wife and I quit 11 months ago and have never wanted one since. We got hypnotized and it really worked. That is somnething for a person that has smoked since I was 16 and a three pack a day smoker. I highly reccommend it

You're doing it the right way, Dawn. The two of you quitting together will give each other incentive not to restart. Plus, a little help from the nicotine patch won't hurt, either. That's exactly how I did it -- my wife and I quit together and used Nicorrette for a nicotine fix. It worked.

I'm so happy that it worked for you, that is so awesome, but I have tried that one in the past. It did not work for me...I got angry because I left the seminar feeling like it was all just a pitch for vitamins (a bit of a stubborn streak) . Perhaps I just chose the wrong one.

The only thing that has ever worked for me was "cold turkey". Hubby has never even tried to quit before, so I am going to get him all the crutches that I can. If he quits, it will be that much easier for me (I have never been good when faced with temptation).

Cold turkey, a financial incentive (bet someone $1000 you won't smoke again... hey, that works for me!) and a nicotine fix. It's over.
