As much as I love playing Pachislo the reels/motors are just too loud. Nothing clicking, grinding or such, just the constant rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr as wheels spin. Here is where my mind is at:
1. Could you lightly insulate inside, possible felt or something to dampen sound? It wouldn't dampen tons by any means, but some? Next thought, fire proof/high heat fabric.
2. I have read that you CANNOT oil the Step Motor inside Pachislo's. That's really all I've read. Nothing about motor maintenance and such. I worry they are a sealed and dubbed "lubed for life." I had considered taking out reels again and using air compressor on main middle metal rod. Nothing extreme, maybe it'll find some dust or hairs?
3. Has anyone replaced the back "filters/metal mesh" with anything better and more sound proof? SO many of those smalls sideways pill slits that I feel some sort of still breathable covering may quiet it.
I understand it cannot be made sound proof and that my best case scenario would be like %5-%10 quieter, probably nothing more.
