Default A closer look at the Narita

I have had this machine since Black Friday...I think! I did check the jackpot functions, and play it a little. Plus remove the box that it came in.2050-12-31 23.59.59-140.jpg I started to look at it...then remembered that I need to take some "before" pics BEFORE I clean anything! The top hinge split the wood frame. And the laminate that is glued to the box/cabinet addition seems to be glued to the front (removable) part of the machine. No pics of that...battery was low, and I wanted to save it for more important pics.
2050-12-31 23.59.59-269.jpg First of all, full front. The 4 blue flaps are losing ball exits. The 2 green pockets between the blue flaps are winning pockets. There are two places to insert a ball into play. The traditional hole in the frame, and the one in the chrome door.2050-12-31 23.59.59-270.jpg Although some of the chrome frame is pitted, and going to peel...2050-12-31 23.59.59-282.jpg The door is in extremely good condition! Except, of course where the ball hits above the hole.2050-12-31 23.59.59-271.jpg There is dirt in the usual places.2050-12-31 23.59.59-276.jpg Can't see it in this pic...but, there is a small hole in the left side of the green "win" pocket, from all the balls hitting it over the years. 2050-12-31 23.59.59-277.jpg Frame ball ramp...2050-12-31 23.59.59-278.jpg door ball ramp. And, of course, the Model A style "jackpot ball window"! It seems that in the "early days", it was important to SEE the balls that you were winning. Model B's did it with the ring of balls you can see in the center. Model C machines seemed to DO AWAY with the "jackpot that you can see" feature. I guess that by then...they rere considered "reliablr enough" that you did not have to SEE the winning balls?
