My First Pachinko Machine and a Question or Two

I just wanted to say Hi, and say I'm the new owner of a Sanyo Comet II Pachinko Machine. I have wanted to get a pachinko machine for years now, and when this one came up for sale on CL for $25 yesterday, I jumped on it and got lucky. It does seem to be in good condition with just two little broken pieces, no wires to the toggle switches, and a small missing dangling part "see picture 8". I'm in the proses of cleaning it up and getting everything to work again. When I tried to play the machine nothing seemend to work, and after taking the dirty, dusty, dust covers off I found out why, someone had tried to use steel ballbearings that where to big to fit in the system, they were jammed into 4 diffrent spots. After removing the steel bearings it seems to work pritty good now.
First question: where can I get the little dangling thing that is missing, and what is it called?
Second question: I want to replace the plexie glass with real glass but I'm not sure what type of glass to get?
