Nishijin Single shot restore
So last week,
I purchased a single shot from the local swap meet.
Sunday I spent about 9 hours on this thing before I had it 90% operational and a basic cleaning done.
(able to play one light bulb non functional from a bad contact switch, so I left the bulb out as not to drain the 9V.)
so far I had taken the front plastic and aluminum parts off, removed the glass pane, and frame to clean. installed (missing) the Tulip in the PF.
And then started a basic functionality check and patch on the back mechanics.
and ran quite a few balls through it and had checked my phone for the time, to notice it was rather late. So I cleaned up the mess and stopped to look at the original front side picture I posted here.
what struck me was I finally noticed the background was nearly cream colored to the naked eye but the photo had a revealed a pattern of like leaves and some red flowers.
what sunk in was that the background was sun faded, shook my head and said to my self, "time to brave the world of cell replacement.."
So thus begins the process of searching for a new background to replace the faded one with and, of course, a thread on this.
Because, (bum bum BUM!!!) it's my first cell replacement and figured why not record every step into restoration and customization doom..right?
