Gaku Counter/Sensor Placement
Your Gaku Counter can also be used on your Pachislo machine. This is showing the placement of the sensors. Works with either type of coin mechanism.
The sensor for the "tokens in" is mounted on the coin mechanism. Just above where the token exits.
The sensor for the "tokens won" is mounted in a slot, I cut, in the coin chute that butts up to the hopper, when the door is closed. With the door closed the sensor is right above the slot, on the hopper, where the token exits.
At first, I had the sensor inside the chute. I tried different spots in the chute, it would read the tokens, but gave a false count. I think from them bouncing around in the chute. So, by cutting the slot in the chute, that lets the sensor get right up against the hopper, when the door closes, and gets them counted as they are coming out of the hopper.
I have the sensors taped in for now. I'll run the machine for awhile and make sure all works good before making a permanent bracket to hold them in.
But, as of right now it looks as if it's going to work out good. No problems, the count is "dead on". Here are some pictures.
