Southport Old Penny Arcade
We went to the penny arcade at the end of Southport pier today. They had some great old machines, I even won a kitkat from an allwin.
They had a great little machine that I think was called a sky lift or a high lift. It used ball bearings, had a ball lift which dropped a ball through the top onto a series of ramps that were hinged in the middle. You have a knob to move the hinge in order to get the ball down the ramps (rather than fall down the side), into the scoring channels at the bottom. It was very difficult, I lost all apart from one of the 5 balls.
