Diana pocket repair

So, here's the broken pocket that was discussed in this thread:

This is a unique pocket (for me anyway) as it is a 'pass through' pocket and it's all plastic. The inside of the pocket has several parts to it... one of which is broken. I've attached a few photos and they are: The front, the back (all together), removed two screws and pulled it in half, then with the parts 'exploded' and finally the broken part.

The way the pocket works is that the ball drops through along a 'double pocket' rotor that then turns the 'spiral shaft' which has the slot in it that moves the 'T-bar' up and down that opens and closes the wings. As you can see in the last photo the two 'ears' on the piece is broken. On the front is a 'dot tab' that fits in the spiral slot and on the back there are two 'dot tabs' that serve as guides to keep the piece moving straight and vertical.

So... you now know what I know. I was first thinking I could cut off the top of the T piece and then glue on a toothpick (ha... yes that's my idea) then I could trim it down to the right size. Unfortunately, one of the 'dot tabs' that fits in the vertical slot is at the very top of that section. Maybe a thin metal piece super glued... ???

So.. the adventure begins.
