Default Another, Out of the Arby Box Experience!

Oh, what a month! Where do I begin? At the End? No! This is gonna be a long story.

I fought the ball and the ball won!

I'm a flatlander. The world is flat! You know it is! Aren't Pachislo tokens flat? Flat is good! Well, isn't It?

I must confess. I was a contented Pachislo player. I bought a few games, followed by a couple more, and then another. I wondered, where does it stop? I was happy? Right? I wondered then, why did I keep buying more machines? I wondered if perhaps I was still looking for something, else? Something more? I wondered too; Was I normal?

Why was I curious about those smug ball players? Why do they keep their hands in their pockets? (Wasn't that a TV commercial?) What were they playing with? What did they know; all smiling ... something I didn't? What were those strange noises?

Well, there's only one way to find out. We'll talk to the guru. We'll talk the "Arby". We all know that the "Arby" is good!

Big mistake! Jump into the deep end! Sink or swim! The wife's gonna kill me!

    What - did - I - do!!

I had ordered a STAR WARS, and a YAMATO 2 cell! Or was that a YAMATO 2 and a STAR WARS cell? Doesn't matter. The wife's gonna kill me! This is big! Or was that large? Doesn't matter. She's still gonna kill me!

And just what did he mean by, "And by the way, you can have any color you want! Just as long as it's red." RED! Just where did he think we were? At TA!! (The color must be clashing with his purple hat. Maybe that's why he wants to get rid of it. Dattia will know. She knows purple ... and red!)

BISTY WARS and the RED TOMATO!! The wife's gonna kill me!

    I can't wait! I want it. NOW!

I start hearing voices. I start to sweat. I'm scared!

dalto - Wow...Star Wars is up over $1000. The Christmas dash is on!

fhagar - You really should give yourself a palot for Christmas. You'll never regret it!!

azlew - Looks like people are really in tune to what Pachinko truly is the best
collectible these days.Check out the action on this Pachinko after less than one day ! : http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-in-the-white-Sankyo-Case-Pachinko-Christmas

jdsabin1 - Did the Star Wars machines that people got great deals on from
pachink4less have the white case I wonder?

azlew - I hope so. We are developing quite a number of Star WarsPachinko
    owners here!

azlew - A little over two days to get the ultimate Christmas gift!

The wife's gonna kill me! I still can't wait. Wait .. what's that I just heard? Did I hear right?

MrGneiss - What Happened??? UPS HAS DESTROYED IT WITH THERE
    TRUCK

arbycoffee - the box fell off the backup truck and crushed on the dock, that is
murder! some one should hang slowly for it

dalto - Hmmm....maybe it was pushed.

Murder! Pushed! What did I get myself into?

ocpachinko - At least it visited Pachinko heaven before it's tragic demise ...
    which machine was it?

arbycoffee - Star Wars in the white case

    There are still more echos!

cwstnsko - As I dug through the rubble, I was amazed at how completely this
machine was destroyed. There were no less than 15 seperate "chunks" of a pachislo in the box. I guess I have my 1st parts machine (literally)

Tony Junior - It is a lamp from the MGM Grand before the fire that destroyed
    the old casino.

azlew - OH NO BUSTED!! She snuck in while I was away from the computer.

Wait. Mine is/are red. What am I worried about. The "Arby" hasn't shipped it yet.

    I can't wait.

    She's gonna kill me!!

    There's the door bell.

    IT'S HERE!

That might be a dangerous thing to do, if she is already seeing red ... LOL

Then again, that may be a good approach to take, seeing that the Canadian Juniors took home the Gold! Again!

    Thanks for your help Arby!!

PS - The red case is growing on me. The Large Yamato 2 aka Star Blazers 2 really looks good in it, and you know what, so does the Star Wars.

Not really. I bought two cells and one case and can swap the cells in a matter of a couple of minutes. If I can get a reasonable deal on another case, it would be worth adding but if not, I can swap them without issue.

Buying just a cell without a case would mean you couldn't use the cell.

i see basicly it means that once you have a compleate case it is cheaper to collect cells and change them when you want to use them a little fiddly but easyer on the pocket

It's almost like having a Nintendo with multiple game cartridges. It really only does take a couple minutes to swap the cells once you get used to it. I think it will be handy as I have limited space now that my collection has grown to 6 Pachislo's and 2-3 Pachinkos. (I also have a LOTR)

I may be wrong, but I understand that this swapping business only works in a limited amount of cases. (pun intended) Obviously the cells must be from the same case series, but the electronics, connectors, etc. must be compatible.

Arbycoffee would be able to explain it better.

I see that you've posted the Large Yamato 2 at the top of your list Arby, before Star Wars. Is that your order of preference?

Rupan would be very happy to hear that.

And you know what! Rupan may be right! As good as Star Wars is, Yamato 2 aka Star Blazers 2 is just as good, and I'm beginning to think that it may even be better. I don't want to commit any sacrelidge after only owning both for a short period of time, but ...

It's like dating gorgeous Swedish/German/Japanese twins. How can one possible choose between them!

You, sir, have seen that light. As for that azlew fellow.... Sankyo put a lot more work into the ROM of Great Yamato and it shows.

And, Arby, I believe you can also add these machines to that list:

    Sankyo:

    Uchi no Pochi
    Miracle Carpet
    CRF Bosou Ogawa Naoya
    CRF Onmyouji
    CRF Galaxy Railways

    Bisty:

CR A****a Ga Arusa: Yoshimoto World
    CR Evangelion
CR Let's Go to the Circuit
    CRF Twins

Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure the cab is all the same in these too.

I have a let's go to the circuit and it is in the older Victory style case. I think some of those others are too.

Maybe Rupan can argue that the ROM for Large Yamato 2 is better, but I think the cell for Large Yamato I looks better. Also the Victory case.

(Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)
