From the looks of what else the seller is selling, all the good finds that might make this purchase a good one are gone. The comics are the prize item and he has some listed for $8K so there was some really great stuff there but he's picked through it.

Can't you just imagine all the scratching and hissing you'd hear from those records? Who knows what kind of abuse they've been though, how many bad dead needles have touched their vinyl.

damn.. i cant even remember the last time i actually used a Record... I was an 8track man...they where way more handier and eisier to lug around...

We're still trying to figure out what to do with my Dad's record collection of 78's and 33 1/3's. All in excellent shape. Almost all classical.

We lost so much more in a fire in 1990. Magazines, every edition of Life, National Geographic, so much more.

Agreed, I still have my 1000+ LP collection and 500+ 7"EP collection.

But, they're going to stop manufacturing records within the next couple of years. The last of the record pressing plants (in the US anyway) is finally closing down, from what I understand.

I was also going to comment that they took all the good stuff out, shipping cost would be more than the bid

I traded a Time Cross Pachislo for a one car garage full of records about 9,000 of then.

I picked out what i wanted and sold the balance in one lot on Ebay, pickup only.
