Default One more step on the Journey to the Dark Side. 1st Pachislo

Well its about time I got some token action.
Picked up this yesterday for £83 spares or repairs locally (well 50miles away) Its a Bisty Beach Club approx year 2008 came with just over 200 tokens.

Needs some work, as found out the token return/pay out chute on the door is missing. Also all the tokens fall straight out the acceptor which is why its been taped back. has both keys
trying to work out the buttons on the front. The No.1 button changes the screen graphics and is confirmed with the max bet button. The button next to it makes the machine go into E2 error. But I'm sure it has another function than just that
As per usual. its way to loud, Has 3 speakers, 2 in the front and one in the rear of the cabinet (not sure if that normal )

Will try to read through some threads and see if I can get the acceptor to work, And if anyone knows where I can get a chute from, Please tell me, I'll email stealth later on and see if they have one and will ship to the UK
If not I'll post something in the support section

That's a nice looking machine. The E2 code is a coin jam.Try cleaning the sensor with glass cleaner on the coin acceptor mech.Sometimes by turning the door key left will clear the code .The button that is setting the E2 is probably the credit payout and is a part of the coin acceptor circuit and coin hopper. From the pics the coin acceptor being taped in place is the first place to look for trouble. The speaker on the back of the cabinet is normal for some machines ,it adds base sounds and more stereo.

windex and tissues or paper towels is good for cleaning reels, you can turn them by hand, they will adjust to proper position when you turn the machine on

Well I took the acceptor out. Stripped and cleaned it whilst jr was having his afternoon nap. It's taped up because the electromagnet isn't powerful enough to pull the lever flush and close the token rail so the tokens fall though. Cleaning it didn't work, I'd rather not make it permenantly closed. Not given up yet I agree on the payout button. It only does it when there are credits, also the motor failed to turn causing the error. But it can be turned by hand. Next step is remove the hopper and check outputs. I contacted stealth. They don't have the chute and only ship within the US if some one could send me a pic on the inside of their door to get an idea of shape, I'll make one

Sorry, Chris is right, Modern Pachinko is definitely 'The Dark Side' and has always been so around here, it requires a greater degree of dedication to see what others do not in Modern Pachinko, you must follow the path to the Dark Side, but be warned, many venture upon this path but find they have to deviate from course or turn back, and yes there was many mentions of cookies being involved

Although there was a time when the good members of PT referred to me as the dark Side

Don't worry Mr Clam you are already well on the Dark Side

Now how are you getting on with getting this Pachislo fixed

Looks to me like you have a big chunk of that coin mec missing.
The coin chute is there to drop coins in hopper.
your tokens may be falling out of the front of coin mec.
There is a good chance that i am wrong.
Someone needs to send you some pictures.
Sorry haven't got a bitsy machine.
(Melvin who used to come on here may still have some bits or try Dragonfly)

You could build a mock up shute out of cardboard and tape to see how they work. You just need an opening for the coin mech so the tokens can fall to the tray opening ,and a slot opening for the hopper eject to the tray opening in the same shute. And thin enough for the door to close, without smashing it.Sounds pretty simple.

As busy doing floor today, I'll remove the payout hopper and the board it plugs into, take them to work with me tomorrow. See if I can spot anything as to why the motor doesn't turn. Might be a motor fuse or such like.

    UPDATE

Fixed the token acceptor by adjusting the magnetic push plate, and that works great now I put a 12v battery on to the payout motor and spits tokens out great, reconnected it and loaded up some tokens, then pressed the payout button, but no motor turn and went back into E2. Seeing as it was left in someone garage for goodness knows how long, I'm going to leave it plugged in for a few hours then try again. If that fails, tech support thread here we come

When you put tokens in the acceptor does it show credits adding up.Do the reels spin, and stop o.k.It may be a stuck credit button and shorting out when you push it.If the hopper motor is working then it has to be a connection problem.
