Default Vintage Model A getting more than one win ball

Hey does any one have an idea on why when I win, I get more than one ball in the bottom win tray ? I have a vintage Model A Nishijin . I do get balls in the play area also.

Just cleaned my new machine, looks really good, can't really tell in pictures though, but looks good. Had some grime on the skin and used windex with cotton balls on a chop stick. It worked really good, I didn't cause any xtra water damage, like I have read here for some... I did do it in sections, and dried off immediately the section just cleaned. The back cleaned up really well too.

    Thanks!

The model A machines I own pay out 15 balls with every jackpot and some go in the top tray while others go in the bottom tray. Before the 'A' series machine, the balls would go into a single bottom tray (there wasn't a top tray) and the player would need to pick up the balls and manually load them into the shooter to play. These were called "single shot" machines.

As the machines evolved, a top tray was added and the idea was to dump some of the winning balls into the top tray to fill the shooter, and the rest into the bottom tray. Later machines had all the jackpots dumped into the top tray only, with a slider to allow the player to drain the top tray into the bottom tray when it got too full.

Anyway, getting balls in both trays on a model A machine is typical. Nothing to worry about.

Congrats on the cleaning of your machine. You are required to post pics!!

also if your get on a win streak and the top tray fills up all the winning balls should go to the bottom tray..
