    Default HI im new

I ran across an indy pachinko machine on ebay last week, before then i have never thought about getting a pachinko machine. Are modern ones any fun to play or they more for collecting? Is it worth paying 190 to 350 bucks for a modern sankyo? WHats a good beginner machine?

I think the members here that own Indy machines really like them... and of course, you must play with it!!!

It is worth what you are willing to pay A few years ago, these machines could be had for a song...but those days are over.

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!!

You have to play your pachinko! Collecting is more of an unexpected occurrence with this hobby (they multiply while your not looking).

As far as price goes, it depends on the machine theme, age, condition, number of pachinko balls it comes with, etc...

IMO there are no beginner machines, only beginning players!

    Enjoy your new Indy!

    Welcome to PachiTalk Frostbite!!

I would imagine that Sonic the Hedgehog would be hard to find, I don't know if any members here actually have or have owned one??

Apart from searching eBay, you could ask the Vendors to look out for specific machines for you,

Although if I were you, I would see what is actually available at the moment and then do some research on which themes would suit you best,

Although Indy is quite a popular choice, I wouldn't rate it any higher than a few of my others, it's all down to personal choice really,

Pachinko is deff something you have to play and play and play some more.

Don't think there is such a thing as a beginners machine, you either 'get' pachinko or you don't, and if it gets you under it's spell, Look Out!! you will not stick to just one

As stated earlier, there isn't a starter machine. Basically just search for one that the theme suits you. If you like Indiana jones movies then the machine would probably be a good choice. If you don't like the movies then you probably wouldn't like the pachinko.

As far as price goes, search eBay and the vendors web sites to give yourself an idea of what you are going to have to pay. Might want to check out Craigs list. You might have to drive a bit, but could save some money.

I drove close to a 300 mile round trip to get my Vicky chance. But only paid about $165 including gas. Most vicky's are selling for that much PLUS $80-90 extra for shipping.

Congrats! Super Sea Story is the first machine I bought for myself, and what led me to Pachitalk (and the decline of available living space).

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

The Sea Story themed Pachis are very popular in Japan, they seem to release new models all the time

It's certainly one that I would like to add to my own collection some day

    Congratulations!!

well my first pachinko came today, like a kid a christmas was eager to open the box to find that my pachinko was more protected then whats inside of a armored truck! once i got the first box open after getting all the staples off...was another box between like 3 to 4" of foam all the way around. Finally got to the main box then had to cut two layers of trash bags off the pachinko.

Once i plugged it in...idk if i liked what happend...might have a case of pachinko fever now. cant wait to get some more balls orderd and start looking for another machine.

Glad it arrived safe and sound. Just in case you're interested in adding volume controls.
